ABOUT CORINNE
As founder and CEO of Real Nurturing Family Practice, Corinne Copeland, MSN, RN, FNP-C, APRN, brings holistic primary care services to the community of Cypress, Texas. Corinne is originally from St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. Growing up, Corinne was an ambitious person and set several goals for herself. She attended the University of the Virgin Islands after high school and moved stateside to further her education in the late 90s. Corinne attended Norfolk State University in Virginia full-time while working as a part-time Certified Nurse Assistant. Difficult times arose when Corinne became pregnant with her daughter and first child. Sadly, Corinne withdrew from the program, but that did not place a damper on her goals. She later completed her BSN at Hampton University. After graduating, Corinne worked as a nurse in the pediatric ER and the IMCU-intermediate medical care unit in Virginia until she relocated to Houston, Texas. Corinne married her best friend, and they became parents to two boys. She continued her nursing career in pediatrics and quickly climbed the career ladder, working as Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, and Nurse Manager. As an administrator, Corinne missed working directly with patients. She obtained a Master of Science from Chamberlin College in 2017 and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She currently works full-time as a Nurse Practitioner at Texas Children's- The Center for Children and Women. Becoming an entrepreneur was another goal, and Corinne decided to join her mom's legacy as a member of Iota Phi Lambda, Inc. She discussed with her husband the possibility of implementing a business involving home visits. A few days later, a friend/neighbor asked if she would come to her home to assess and treat her. Corinne excitedly agreed, and her entrepreneurial journey began. She is now the proud Founder & CEO of Real Nurturing Family Practice, LLC. Her private practice gives her the opportunity to provide home visits and telemedicine, gain the community's trust, and offer affordable costs. Corinne also extends her services to local business owners who cannot afford medical insurance for their employees. Her hard work and dedication are most evident when she is working with her patients as an NP or caring for her family.
